I
The Starting
Point
“The problem wasn't his reputation as a lawyer. His digital presence needed a boost.”
Alfonso López had practised law for years, but always under another firm's umbrella. No logo, no visual identity, no website and no online presence beyond the clients he had worked with before. His network existed, but in the digital world he was invisible. And on the Costa del Sol, one of the most saturated legal markets in Spain, that's a serious problem.
II
The Strategy:
Winning by Design
The websites of most lawyers on the Costa del Sol share a pattern: outdated, text-heavy and with a design that hasn't changed in ten years. That, rather than a problem, was our biggest opportunity. The strategy rested on three key decisions:
01
Identity from scratch
Before touching the website, we worked together on the logo and the corporate colour palette. He needed an image that conveyed seriousness without feeling cold, and that worked equally well on a business card and on a digital banner.
02
Minimalist, clean design
Against the visual noise of the competition, we chose a website with plenty of space, clear typography and direct navigation. So that in five seconds the user knew what Alfonso does, how he can help and how to reach him.
03
SEO foundations from day one
In a competitive market, showing up on Google isn't optional. I structured the content and the code with ranking in mind from the start, and we worked on the first blog articles to begin building authority on relevant searches.

III
The Development
We built it in WordPress, with an architecture designed so Alfonso could manage the content on his own without depending on me for every minor change.
I implemented clear CTAs at the site's strategic points and a contact form accessible from any page, because in a law firm every enquiry is a potential client.
All the code was optimised for load speed and mobile, which is how most people look for a lawyer today. The website wasn't launched and forgotten: we keep working together to improve ranking, add new content and adjust whatever the data calls for.
IV
An identity of his own
in a saturated market.
Alfonso went from not existing online to having a coherent, professional and distinctive digital presence. He has his own brand image, a website he can proudly show any client and a platform that works for him around the clock.
What satisfies me most about this project isn't the visual result, but the starting point: building something from scratch alongside someone betting hard on their own path has a different value. Projects like this require me to understand the client's business before touching the design, and that's exactly what I look for in every brief.
